Dhanteras is celebrated on the thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the Vikram Samvat Hindu calendar month of Karthik.

Lord Dhanvantari, according to Hindu Mythology, emerged during Samudra Manthan, holding a Kalash full of Amrit in one hand and the sacred text about Ayurveda in the other hand. He is considered to be the Vaidya(physician) of Gods.

Since Dhanvantari is worshipped on this thirteen day, so it is called 'Dhanteras'. He is the god of Ayurveda who imparted the wisdom of Ayurveda.

सभी को दुर्गा अष्टमी की शुभकामनाएं 🙏कल शाम जिला प्रशासन तथा नगर निगम के तत्वाधान में, कलाग्राम ने गुरुग्राम के विभिन्न स्कूलों के Mudra Dance Academy की संस्थापक, प्रतिष्ठित भरतनाट्यम व कुचीपुड़ी नृत्यांगना धन्या नायर की शिष्याओं द्वारा दुर्गा स्त्रोतम, महिषासुर वध के साथ भरतनाट्यम की सशक्त व भावविभोर प्रस्तुति की। साथ ही "अगस्त्य के महानायक श्री राम" नामक पुस्तक से हृदयविदारक अंशों की प्रस्तुति, स्वयं लेखक श्री राजेश्वर वशिष्ठ तथा कवियत्री प्रीति मिश्रा द्वारा की गई। इस कार्यक्रम का समापन UnCage Dance Theatre Company India की पूजा सचदेवा के शिष्य तथा शिष्याओं द्वारा नारी के सशक्तिकरण पर आधारित कथक नृत्य तथा डांडिया द्वारा किया गया। दर्शकों ने भी डांडिया में बढ़चढकर हिस्सा लिया।सेक्टर 14 कॉलेज की छात्राओं ने मंच का संचालन किया।

A graceful and powerful dance performance by the artists of KalaGram from UnCage Dance Theatre Company India on women empowerment in the presence of a group of female bikers from Jammu ,Sohna MLA Sh. Sanjay Singh and DIG CRPF Sh. Dalip Singh Ambesh. It was an honour and an unforgettable opportunity to be able to present KalaGram at one of the biggest CRPF(Central Reserve Police Force) campus of India. Thanks to DC Gurugram for the opportunity.

Under the embrace of the Aravali peaks, Kalagram held another successful and mesmerizing Sketch Up Meet at 'Akasa Studio: run by a super talented artist Azad.

We spent the early morning listening to warm stories and artistic journey of every artist and making art, sketches with the beauty of nature.

What made this even more special was a small playful dance by Rahul, and a small trek up to the cozy venue in the Aravali.

Calling Artists and Writers,

Kalagram, is now accepting submissions for its 5th edition newsletter, themed on the idea of "warmth in small moments." We are looking for all forms of creative expression, including poetry, short stories, paintings, sculptures, photography, and more, that explore this theme.

Selected works will be featured on our newsletter, which will be shared in all government offices, and with all Government officers, corporates, RWAs as well as on all social media handles of KalaGram.
We are particularly interested in works that capture the everyday moments that bring us warmth and joy, whether it's a cup of coffee with a friend, a child's laughter, or a ray of sunshine through the window.
