We provide free education and vocational training to underprivileged children and youth in Delhi NCR. We train our students in the skills required to put them on the right track for employment and provide an enabling environment to bring out the best in them. SHIKSHA operates two Educational Centres (at Wazirabad and Mohyal Colony, in Gurugram) that follow the CBSE curriculum and cater to over 1,0
00 students. We also conduct Adult Literacy and conversational English courses in Delhi NCR. Besides a completely free education our students are provided uniforms, books, stationery and a mid-day meal free. Upon their passing Class VIII we give scholarships to our best students to enable them to complete their education through the national educational system on an equal footing with their peers. We also financially and otherwise support our students who wish to complete their schooling via the National Open Schooling System through Distance Education. We also give 8-10 scholarships for our students to pursue their bachelors or professional higher education degree. SHIKSHA also conducts free vocational training courses in Delhi NCR, offering sewing, beautician training, and computer classes to approximately 350 youth per annum.
