Independence Day Celebration – Foundational Years

The Foundational Years at Salwan Public School, Gurugram celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit through a series of engaging activities held from 1 to 14 August 2026. The activities were thoughtfully designed to introduce young learners to India’s national identity, symbols, heritage, and the sacrifices of its freedom fighters.

The children participated enthusiastically in finger printing of the National Flag, Tricolour wristband making, presentations on national symbols, patriotic songs and dance, tearing and pasting of the lotus, clay modelling, free-hand drawing, and story narration on freedom fighters. Through these creative and experiential activities, the young Salwanians explored the significance of the National Flag and other national symbols while expressing their love for the country.

The celebrations culminated with Dress Up and Talk, where children dressed as freedom fighters and confidently shared a few lines about them. The activities provided joyful learning experiences while nurturing creativity, confidence, communication skills, teamwork, fine-motor skills, and patriotic values among the young learners.

School Band Team Shines at the 80th Independence Day Celebrations

The Band Team of Salwan Public School, Gurugram, proudly participated in the 80th Independence Day Parade held at Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Sector 43, Gurugram, on 15 August 2026. The students displayed remarkable discipline, coordination and musical precision during the march past.

In recognition of their impressive performance, the Band Team was felicitated by the Chief Guest, Shri Satish Kumar Fagna, Hon’ble MLA, NIT Faridabad, Haryana. Their participation brought pride and honour to the school.

80th Independence Day Celebration at Salwan Public School, Gurugram

Salwan Public School, Gurugram celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with patriotic fervour, pride, and a deep sense of national responsibility.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the School Director, Major General Surinder Singh, AVSM, SM, VSM, accompanied by Officiating Principal Dr. Sunita Jakhar, followed by the National Anthem.

The programme continued with a soulful patriotic group song presented by the Salwanians. Addressing the gathering, the Director emphasised that freedom comes with responsibility and encouraged everyone to become responsible citizens and contribute meaningfully towards the progress and development of the nation.

As a thoughtful gesture, saplings and sweets were distributed to parents, symbolising the school community’s commitment to both the nation and Mother Earth. The celebration concluded on a note of gratitude and patriotism, reinforcing the values of unity, responsibility, and service to the nation.

Investiture Ceremony and Independence Day Celebrations 2026–27

Salwan Public School, Gurugram celebrated its Investiture Ceremony and Independence Day Celebrations on 14 August 2026, bringing together the spirit of leadership, responsibility, culture, and patriotism.

The Investiture Ceremony marked the formal induction of the Student Council 2026–27. The newly appointed student leaders, including the Senior and Junior Wing Presidents, Vice Presidents, Captains, Prefects, and House representatives, were conferred with badges and took a solemn oath to uphold the dignity, discipline, and values of the institution. The presence of parents added significance to the occasion as the school community came together to celebrate this important milestone in the students’ leadership journey.
