Independence Day Celebration – Foundational Years

The Foundational Years at Salwan Public School, Gurugram celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit through a series of engaging activities held from 1 to 14 August 2026. The activities were thoughtfully designed to introduce young learners to India’s national identity, symbols, heritage, and the sacrifices of its freedom fighters.

The children participated enthusiastically in finger printing of the National Flag, Tricolour wristband making, presentations on national symbols, patriotic songs and dance, tearing and pasting of the lotus, clay modelling, free-hand drawing, and story narration on freedom fighters. Through these creative and experiential activities, the young Salwanians explored the significance of the National Flag and other national symbols while expressing their love for the country.

The celebrations culminated with Dress Up and Talk, where children dressed as freedom fighters and confidently shared a few lines about them. The activities provided joyful learning experiences while nurturing creativity, confidence, communication skills, teamwork, fine-motor skills, and patriotic values among the young learners.

80th Independence Day Celebration at Salwan Public School, Gurugram

Salwan Public School, Gurugram celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with patriotic fervour, pride, and a deep sense of national responsibility.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the School Director, Major General Surinder Singh, AVSM, SM, VSM, accompanied by Officiating Principal Dr. Sunita Jakhar, followed by the National Anthem.

The programme continued with a soulful patriotic group song presented by the Salwanians.
