National Institute of Communication Finance - NICF NICF is an Apex level training Institute of DOT and recognised as CTI by DOP&T NICF conducts induction training of IP&TAFS probationers.

National Institute of communication Finance is a National level Institute of Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunication. The Institute caters the need of various stakeholders like IP&TAFS Group ‘A’ Officers, IP&TAFs Group ‘B’ Officers, Direct recruit Civil Service Probationers, Group ‘C’ and other supportive staff in Telecom and Postal side, Policy makers etc. NICF is the apex ins

titute in the field of HR training, trainers training, research & analysis in the field of communications. National Institute of Communication Finance (NICF) caters to the training needs of Post & Telecom Accounts & Finance Service Officers (P&TAFS) Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. After recruitment through Civil Service Examination the officers undergo Foundation course (4 months) at DOP&T allotted Training Academy, followed by 15 week professional training at NIFM, Faridabad. At NICF, they are trained in Administration & Management, Telecom & Postal functions, new areas of telecom technology and ICT, specialised training’s on FDI, Banking and insurance and global standards. In between the classroom training schedules, the officers are deputed for on job field training. NICF also serves as a nodal Training and Research centre for Telecom Policies, planning & licensing, USO regulation, Postal Accounts, Postal Finance etc.
