It comes in three variety- Golden Muga, White Pat and Eri Silk. Muga silk is known for its glossy texture and durability. Today Assam Silk industry thrives in and around Sualkuchi and it is a Geo tagged product registered with Government of India. Local say that "you can wear it without a tear" for 50 years."
