A community-level awareness program on the prevention of child marriage was organised by the Central Library,Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) in Collaboration with the Women cell,Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous)at Rajabari L.P. School, Panikhaiti on 4th February,2026. The program started at 11:00 AM and was attended by a total of 35 female participants from the local community.
During the interaction session, four elderly women shared their personal experiences, stating that they were married at a very young age—some at 12 years, and one even at 9 years. All the participants were married women, which helped create an open and meaningful discussion.
All the members of the Women Cell explained the harmful effects of child marriage, its impact on health, education, and social development, and highlighted the legal provisions and the importance of community participation in preventing child marriage.
In this connection, all the teachers of Rajabari L.P. School extended valuable support and cooperation in organizing the program successfully at the community level. After the completion of the program, snacks were distributed among all participants. The program concluded successfully with active participation and improved awareness among the community members.

On the occasion of National Youth Day, celebrated on 12th January 2026 to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the NSS Unit and Central Library of Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) organized a special program to commemorate the day and spread his inspiring message among the youth.
The NCC cadets ,students and kids participated in a two-kilometer run titled “Swadeshi Sankalp Run,” which symbolized the spirit of fitness, self-reliance, and national pride.

The event successfully promoted awareness about Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and encouraged both students and cadets to adopt a lifestyle of dedication, discipline, and service to the nation.

An International Seminar on “Exploring Indian Knowledge System: Past, Present and Future” was organised by Central Library and Department of Sanskrit, Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) on 23rd December 2025, providing a vibrant academic platform for scholars and researchers to deliberate on the rich and diverse traditions of Indian knowledge.
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from academicians across disciplines, with a total of 89 research papers presented in four languages—Assamese, English, Sanskrit, and Hindi—reflecting the multilingual and inclusive nature of Indian intellectual heritage.

Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) invites all students to participate in the Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition organised on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day. The event is being conducted by the 60 Assam Girls’ Battalion NCC in collaboration with the Central Library. All students are encouraged to showcase their creativity and patriotism through active participation.

A book donation drive was conducted by the Central Library of Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) on 8 November 2025 within the local community. The initiative was designed to extend the college’s commitment to education beyond campus boundaries by encouraging community members to donate books for educational and recreational use.
The drive received an enthusiastic response, with individuals contributing valuable reading resources. These donations are intended to support community learning spaces and promote reading habits among children, youth, and adults alike.

The International Conference on Smart Systems and Social Management was organized by Royal Global University in collaboration with Arya Vidyapeeth College from 6th to 8th November 2025. The conference brought together academicians, researchers, and students from diverse disciplines to discuss innovative approaches and emerging trends in smart systems and their implications for social management. Representing Arya Vidyapeeth College, Dr. Dalimi Devi, Asstt. Organizing Secretary along with Dr. Mousumi Borah and Ms. Bijuli Rajiyung, members of the organizing team participated in various sessions and deliberations. Additionally, 15 students from different departments of the college attended the conference, gaining valuable exposure to interdisciplinary research, technological advancements, and contemporary social issues.
