কামৰূপ মহানগৰ জিলা আয়ুক্ত স্বপ্নীল পাল, আই.এ.এছ.-এ আজি দিছপুৰ ৰাজহ চক্ৰ বিষয়াৰ কাৰ্যালয়ত ভূমি সম্পৰ্কীয় ৪০টাতকৈ অধিক জনসাধাৰণৰ অভিযোগ আৰু আবেদন শুনানি গ্ৰহণ কৰে। শুনানিৰ সময়ত ১২টা বিষয় তাৎক্ষণিকভাৱে নিষ্পত্তি কৰা হয়। তদুপৰি বাকী বিষয়সমূহৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত প্ৰচলিত নিয়ম-নীতিৰ সমাধান সন্দৰ্ভত উপযুক্ত নীতি আৰম্ভ কৰা হৈছে ।

A meeting in connection with the upcoming Ambubachi Mela scheduled to be held at Kamakhya Temple from 22nd to 26th June was convened today in the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s Office, Kamrup Metro. The District Census Cell, Kamrup Metropolitan successfully conducted a 3-day District Level Training Programme for Census Functionaries for Phase I – House Listing and Housing Census (HLO) 2027, from 28th May to 30th May 2026 at the Office of the District Commissioner, Kamrup Metro.
The training programme was aimed at equipping the census functionaries with the necessary knowledge and practical skills required for the effective conduct of the upcoming census operations. The sessions were led by distinguished resource persons, Dr. Nijora Sharma and Surajit Dey, who provided detailed insights into the procedures and methodologies involved in Phase I of the census.
During the training, emphasis was laid on the roles and responsibilities of the census functionaries, ensuring clarity on field-level ex*****on and data collection protocols. The programme also included hands-on training sessions, where participants were guided through practical aspects of house listing, use of formats, and data recording techniques. Interactive discussions and demonstrations helped the trainees understand the operational challenges and adopt best practices for accurate and efficient data collection.
Overall, the training programme was conducted successfully and proved to be highly beneficial in preparing the census personnel for the smooth and systematic implementation of the House Listing and Housing Census (HLO) 2027 in Kamrup Metropolitan District.The training programme was attended by DDC Parijat Bhutan, Assistant Commissioner Benzir Illias,Nilam Garg along with other official from the District Administration.

A programme planning meeting regarding the upcoming Ambubachi Mela to be held from June 22 to June 26 at the Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Dham was conducted today under the chairmanship of the District Commissioner of Kamrup Metropolitan, Swapneel Paul, IAS. The meeting was attended by Casio Karan Pegu and Raja Baishya, Additional District Commissioner, Biman Das, Co-District Commissioner of Dispur,Kankan Sarma, Co-District Commissioner of Dimoria, Apurba Kumar Nath, Co-District Commissioner of Jalukbari, Dr. Dhrubajyoti Hazarika, Joint Commissioner of Guwahati Municipal Corporation Jayanta Sarathi Borah, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Assistant Commissioners, the Joint Director of Health Services and officials from the Police, Public Works Department (Building) as well as several other departments. During the meeting, the District Commissioner directed every concerned department to take all necessary measures for the smooth management of the Ambubachi Mela programmes. Several departments also presented their programme implementation data and plans through Powerpoint presentations.

In view of the upcoming Ambubachi Mela 2026 from June 22 to 26, in which lakhs of pilgrims are expected to visit Kamakhya Temple, Swapneel Paul, IAS, DC Kamrup (M) conducted a field visit and all department meeting in presence of representatives of Kamkhya Authorities.
All facets of crowd management related to the festival starting from camps, water, food , traffic, control rooms, routes, personnel detailment, swacchata were discussed and finalized.

Swapneel Paul IAS, DC Kamrup (M) today held a meeting on District Level Task Force on price control in the presence of representatives of Chamber of Commerce, market Amassociations from different wholesale, retail and vegetable markets in the district. The Market representatives have ensured available stock position of all essential items in the district. DC emphasized on the importance of putting the display of price of items sold at a conspicuos place in every wholsale and retail items for consumer knowledge. The price trend of essential items at wholesale and retail was reviewed and he ordered regular monitoring of prices to be done by Price Monitoring Centres in different markets within city and in the rural areas of the district.

He also reviewed Land Acquistion pertaining to Aerotropolis Project, Airport to Jalukbari road widening, Azara PHC etc.
