The 15-day Children’s Bihu Workshop, organized by North East Educational Trust, concluded successfully today. Held from 23rd March to 6th April 2026 at North East Educational Trust, Digholipukhuri, Guwahati. The workshop offered training in Bihu dance, Bihu songs, and art sessions. Today’s concluding program witnessed an attendance of over 150 people, with more than 90 children actively participating in the workshop.
The program was a grand success and was graced by the presence of CRCC of Sadar 1, Guwahati, Himani Choudhury, and CRCC of Sadar 3, Guwahati, Ajit Yadav. The Head Teacher and an Assistant Teacher from Lalsingh LP School, along with the Head Teacher of Navagraha LP School, were also present. Parents also attended in large numbers, adding grace and warmth to the occasion.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed the event, especially the lively performances by the children of the Community Library. The program featured children’s Bihu performances including Jeng Bihu, Husori, and several solo Bihu dances, showcasing their learning and enthusiasm.
The event concluded on a joyful note with performances by the teachers and members of the Community Library, making it a truly memorable and vibrant celebration of Bihu.
We also organized a Bohagi Mela at the venue, where products from Project SHINE, an initiative under the North East Educational Trust, were displayed and sold, along with a variety of handmade items created by our NEET team members and students of the community library.
