🌺 Happy to know that our beloved Hibiscus flower is also the national flower of Malaysia, where it is known as Bunga Raya! 🇲🇾

The name Bunga Raya means "Celebration Flower" in the Malay language. It was declared Malaysia's national flower in 1960, and its five petals symbolize the Five Principles of the Rukun Negara (National Principles)—belief in God, loyalty to the King and country, supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law, and good behaviour and morality.

Back home in India, the hibiscus is equally special. It is offered in puja, especially to Goddess Kali, Goddess Durga, and Lord Ganesha, treasured in beauty therapy for promoting healthy hair and radiant skin, and enjoyed as hibiscus tea and in traditional recipes for its wellness benefits.
It was truly heartwarming to realize that a flower we cherish every day is also a powerful national symbol in Malaysia. Nature has a beautiful way of connecting cultures, traditions, and people across borders.
