A Drug Inspector conducted surprise inspections at several pharmacies and medicine distributors across Nagaon district, including Juria, after alleged irregularities were reported in the sale and distribution of medicines. At the doctor's clinic in Juria, discrepancies were found and a large quantity of medicines was seized for examination. Several pharmacies allegedly operating without valid licences were also found closed after reportedly receiving information about the inspection. Authorities warned of strict action, including sealing of illegal establishments.
