Swachhata Action Plan Activity at IATS Public School
Under the Swachhata Action Plan initiative, the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Gwalior organized an awareness program at IATS Public School to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental responsibility among school students.
The program commenced with the inaugural address by Dr. Arvind Mittal, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. During his address, Dr. Mittal emphasized the importance of cleanliness in daily life and its role in building a healthy and responsible society. He encouraged the students to actively participate in maintaining cleanliness in their homes, schools, and surroundings. His insightful words motivated the young students to adopt hygienic practices and become ambassadors of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Following the inaugural session, the IHM Gwalior team conducted an engaging Quiz Competition for the students. The quiz focused on topics such as cleanliness, waste management, environmental protection, and personal hygiene. Students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated their awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
To further strengthen the message of cleanliness, the students and participants took the Swachhata Pledge, committing themselves to keep their surroundings clean and to encourage others to do the same.
A Nukkad Natak (street play) was also performed by the students of IHM Gwalior. The performance creatively highlighted the harmful effects of littering, plastic pollution, and poor sanitation practices. Through impactful dialogues and expressive acting, the street play effectively conveyed the message of cleanliness and responsible behavior toward the environment.
As part of the awareness drive, Swachhata Kits were distributed among the students to promote hygienic practices. The kits aimed to encourage students to maintain cleanliness and adopt healthy habits in their daily routine.
The program witnessed active participation from the students, teachers, and staff members of IATS Public School, making the event highly interactive and impactful. The initiative successfully spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness and inspired students to contribute towards building a cleaner and healthier nation.
Overall, the activity served as a meaningful step towards promoting the values of Swachhata (cleanliness), hygiene, and environmental responsibility among the younger generation.
