Haflong Municipal Board is making every possible effort to keep Haflong town clean, healthy, and beautiful. However, maintaining a clean town is not the responsibility of the Municipal Board alone—it is a collective responsibility of every citizen.

We sincerely appeal to all residents of Haflong town to take personal responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean and to avoid littering or dumping waste in public places.

All shopkeepers are requested to ensure that no garbage or waste is accumulated or dumped in and around their shops. Proper disposal of waste and maintaining cleanliness in front of your establishment is the responsibility of every shopkeeper.

The programme was organized in collaboration with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and women volunteers, with the objective of promoting environmental awareness, community participation, and the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, a meaningful awareness and plantation programme was organized by the Haflong Municipal Board.

The programme was attended by the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Executive Officer (EO), Secretary, representatives from NCHAC, officials and staff of Haflong Municipal Board, Staffs of PMAY & NULM, NGOs, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and other stakeholders.

As part of the celebration, saplings were planted at various locations around Haflong town to promote environmental conservation and create a greener, healthier future. Saplings & T-shirts were also distributed among the participants to encourage public awareness and community involvement in environmental protection.

The Haflong Municipal Board expresses its sincere gratitude to all participants and organizations for their active support and cooperation in making the programme a success. Together, let us continue our efforts to protect and preserve our environment for future generations.
