NIPER Hajipur celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. Director Prof. K. Ruckmani hoisted the National Flag and addressed the Institute community, highlighting IndiaтАЩs remarkable progress in pharmaceutical science, technology, education and healthcare.

She called upon faculty and students to pursue impactful research, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, and develop affordable and accessible healthcare solutions to contribute towards a developed and self-reliant India.

Day 3 of the Orientation Programme at NIPER Hajipur focused on academic excellence, legal awareness, and mental well-being.

Registrar Dr. Abhishek Sahu encouraged students to actively participate in lectures and laboratory sessions, emphasizing the importance of curiosity and open communication with faculty members. He urged students to ask questions freely and seek guidance without hesitation.

Advocate Nikita Kashyap (Patna High Court) delivered an insightful session on the Vishakha Guidelines and the POSH Act, explaining key legal provisions through relevant case studies and highlighting the importance of a safe and respectful campus environment.

The programme also featured a session on mental well-being by Dr. Samidha Pandey, Clinical Psychologist, Patna, who discussed adapting to a new academic culture, managing examination stress, dealing with peer pressure, and fostering emotional resilience and healthy interpersonal conduct.

NIPER Hajipur formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WaldHealth Care Private Limited, Baddi, on 24 July to promote collaboration in pharmaceutical research and innovation.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Vipul Chanana, Chairman; Mr. Pranav Chanana, Chief Executive Officer; and Mr. MuthuKumar R., Chief Quality Officer, WaldHealth Care Private Limited, along with Director, Dean and faculty members of NIPER Hajipur.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. K. Ruckmani, Director, NIPER Hajipur, said that such collaborations will accelerate research in the pharmaceutical industry and contribute to the development of solutions that will ultimately benefit society.

Strengthening Scientific Collaborations for Advancing Healthcare Research

ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (ICMR-NIRT), Chennai, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hajipur, on 16th July 2026 to strengthen collaborative research and academic partnerships in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences.

The programme was attended by scientists and faculty members from both institutions and featured special lectures by the visiting faculty from NIPER Hajipur. Dr. P. Ramalingam delivered a lecture on "LC MS based omics in drug discovery and development", while Dr. Abhishek Sahu spoke on "Polymer based Nanozymes as next generation ROS Scavengers", highlighting emerging advances in pharmaceutical sciences and nanobiotechnology.

The MoU reflects the shared commitment of ICMR-NIRT and NIPER Hajipur to foster scientific collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovative research aimed at addressing contemporary healthcare challenges.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on July 1, between National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hajipur and Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna, and the at the University's Vice-Chancellor's Conference Hall to promote research, academic collaboration, and innovation.

Under the MoU, the two institutions will collaborate on joint research in the fields of pharmaceutical and veterinary sciences.

The agreement includes the exchange of faculty members, scientists, and students; sharing of germplasm and biological samples; and collaborative studies on diagnostic, therapeutic, toxicological, and pre-clinical evaluation of medical devices in both large and small animals. The institutions will also share scientific literature, laboratories, research facilities, and equipment.

On the occasion, Prof. K. Ruckmani, Director of NIPER Hajipur, said that the integration of pharmaceutical and veterinary sciences would provide a new direction for translational research. She noted that combining the expertise of both institutions would open new avenues in drug discovery, medical device evaluation, biotechnology, innovation, and skill development, while also strengthening the country's healthcare priorities. She emphasised that the true value of the MoU would be realised only if both institutions continued to undertake joint research activities on a sustained basis. She further stressed that the agreement should not remain a mere formality but should be implemented actively with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes.

University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Inderjeet Singh, stated that the partnership would enable the University to benefit from NIPER's expertise in drug discovery, translational research, and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. He added that the collaboration would strengthen national and international research projects, joint scientific publications, patents, and technology development. According to him, the partnership would also help establish the University as a Centre of Excellence in the fields of One Health and translational veterinary research.

The University's Director Research, Dr. Naresh Kumar Singh, said that the MoU would promote collaborative research projects between the two institutions. He noted that the exchange of scientific resources, laboratories, and expertise would accelerate high-quality research. He further stated that the exchange of faculty and students would enhance the knowledge, skills, and experience of researchers from both institutions, helping translate laboratory research into practical, socially beneficial applications.
