Capacity Building Programme on NCF – School Education

The Shivalik International School successfully organised a Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on NCF – School Education, providing educators with an enriching platform to understand the vision and implementation of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).

The session was led by esteemed Resource Persons Dr. Suman Tomar and Dr. S. F. Khan. Through engaging ice-breakers, interactive activities and insightful discussions, teachers explored the difference between NEP and NCF, along with key aspects such as competency-based learning, experiential learning, holistic development, and the R1, R2 and R3 framework.

The programme encouraged educators to reflect on their classroom practices and embrace more learner-centred, experiential and competency-based approaches.
The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Resource Persons for their valuable guidance and inspiring interaction.

*शिवालिक मे भारत स्काउटस एंड गाइड्स शिविर संपन्न*

भारत स्काउट्स एवं गाइड्स जिला संस्था नैनीताल के तत्वावधान में आयोजित दो दिवसीय शिविर का आयोजन शिवालिक इंटरनेशनल स्कूल में किया गया l इस शिविर का मुख्य उद्देश्य बच्चों और युवाओं का सर्वांगीण विकास करना है, ताकि वे जिम्मेदार, अनुशासित और समाजोपयोगी नागरिक बन सकें l बच्चों में ​चरित्र निर्माण एवं अनुशासन, ईमानदारी, वफादारी, आज्ञाकारिता और आत्म-नियंत्रण जैसे नैतिक मूल्यों का विकास करना, शारीरिक एवं मानसिक विकास, आउटडोर गतिविधियों, कैंपिंग, खेल और हाइकिंग के माध्यम से शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य और मानसिक सतर्कता को बढ़ाना। ​आत्मनिर्भरता और जीवन कौशल गांठें बांधना, तंबू लगाना, खाना बनाना और प्राथमिक सहायता जैसी व्यावहारिक कलाएं सिखाकर बच्चों को आत्मनिर्भर बनाना, "दूसरों की सहायता करना" स्काउटिंग का मूल मंत्र है। आपदा प्रबंधन, स्वच्छता अभियान और सामुदायिक सेवा के ज़रिए बच्चों में निस्वार्थ सेवा भावना जगाना। टोली प्रणाली के ज़रिए टीम वर्क, निर्णय लेने की क्षमता और नेतृत्व गुणों का विकास करना। इस शिविर में शिवालिक स्कूल के अतिरिक्त नालंदा एकेडमी, सेंट जेवियर स्कूल, टैगोर सीनियर सेकेण्ड्री स्कूल एवं सिद्धार्थ सीनियर सेकेण्ड्री पब्लिक स्कूल के कुल 140 छात्र - छात्राओं ने प्रतिभाग किया l भारत स्काउट -गाइड की तरफ से श्री कमलेश कुमार सती जिला स्काउट मास्टर, श्री उमेश तिवारी, श्री सुरेश चंद्र पाठक और श्रीमती सरिता सामंत ने बच्चों को बड़े मनोयोग से प्रशिक्षण दिया l प्रशिक्षण मुख्य शिक्षा अधिकारी नैनीताल के निर्देशन में और संस्था अध्यक्ष श्री नरेन्द्र साह के कुशल संचालन में सम्पन्न हुआl

With hearts filled with pride and patriotism, The Shivalik International School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of our nation with great enthusiasm, dignity and fervour. 🇮🇳✨
The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial Flag Hoisting, followed by a vibrant Grade 8 Special Assembly that beautifully reflected the spirit of freedom and nationhood.
The programme came alive with mesmerising dance performances, patriotic songs, inspiring speeches and powerful presentations, reminding everyone of the sacrifices that shaped our independent India.
🌱 The highlight of the day was the Pledge for a Drug-Free India, as students and staff collectively reaffirmed their commitment to building a healthier, stronger and safer nation.
The day ended with the distribution of sweets, spreading joy and the sweetness of togetherness.
