Established in 1958, IGMRI is dedicated to applied research, adv

anced training, and capacity-building in the field of scientific storage, handling, and preservation of foodgrains. With regional field stations at Ludhiana and Hyderabad, the institute focuses on minimizing post-harvest losses and promoting best practices suited to Indian agro-climatic conditions. Over the decades, IGMRI has trained thousands of officials from FCI, CWC, SWCs, State Civil Supplies Corporations, and agricultural institutions, contributing significantly to India’s food security and post-harvest management.
