NABARD Jharkhand RO celebrated its 44th Foundation Day with an engaging and well-attended event at Hotel Radisson Blue in Ranchi, marked by insightful discussions and high-level participation from key stakeholders in government, banking, academia, and industry.

The Chief Guest for the occasion, Smt. Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation, Government of Jharkhand, lauded NABARD’s significant contributions to agriculture rural development in the state. She emphasised the importance of close coordination between NABARD and the State Government for deeper and more effective outreach. She also called upon SLBC and bankers to proactively resolve field-level credit delivery issues and to adopt a facilitative approach towards timely and inclusive rural credit.

A key highlight of the programme was a panel discussion on “Fostering Rural Entrepreneurship for Inclusive Growth”, featuring eminent speakers including Shri K. Shrinivasan, IAS (Secretary, Rural Development, Rural Works Department & Panchayati Raj, GoJ), Dr. Raghuram Tata ( XLRI, Jamshedpur) Smt. Anamika Sharma (Officer-in-Charge, RBI Ranchi), Shri Prashant Gattani (President, JCCI), Dr. Aman Kumar (IIM Ranchi) and Shri Nishant Kumar (Young Entrepreneur- King Fish Farm). The discussion focused on enabling policy frameworks, credit access, capacity-building and innovation in the rural entrepreneurial space.

The event reflected NABARD’s evolving role as a key development partner in Jharkhand’s rural transformation journey.
