Hello Hindupur Hindupur is a city in Anantapur district. Hindupur is a city in combined Anantapur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

It is located about 80km from Bangalore the capital of Karnataka 95km From Kadiri 25km from Gauribidanur 60km from Doddaballapura 35km from Penukonda and 100km from the Anantapur. It is located at the edge of the Andhra–Karnataka border and is the headquarters of Hindupur mandal in the Hindupur revenue division. 25 km from Gauribidanur, 60 km from Doddaballapura, 35 km from Penukonda and 98 km from the Anantapur. Lepakshi is located 15 km (9.3 mi) east of Hindupur and approximately north of Bangalore. It lies very close to border of Karnataka.Lepakshi is culturally and archaeologically significant as it is the location of shrines dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Virabhadra which were built during the Vijayanagara Empire period (1336–1646). The temples are the location of mural paintings of the Vijayanagara kings and kannada inscriptions. Near the temple complex is a large granite Nandi bull. On a hillock known as Kurma Saila, "tortoise shaped hill", are other temples to Papanatheswara, Raghunatha, Srirama, and Durga.[citation needed] Lepakshi is also famous for puppet show based on Hindu mythology. There is also a three-headed bull with single body carved on the pillar of main entrance pillar. As of 2011, Hindupur Municipality had a population of 151,835.It is an important local pilgrimage center with a number of temples in and around the city, including Sri Peta Venkata Ramana Swamy Temple, Sree Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple, Guddam Sri Ranganath Swamy Temple, Nimkampalli Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Sugur Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple, and the historical Lepakshi Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple. Hindupur is connected with the major cities in the region by road and by train. This includes National Highway 7, Bangalore Highway, Parigi Road, Lepakshi Road, Kadiri SH-61 Road (proposed to be a four lane highway in 2022), and Penukonda Road. Hindupur Railway Station (code – 'HUP') in the Bengaluru City Railway Station(KSR Bengaluru) stretch of the South Western Railway zone is one of the busiest in the route. The Penukonda–Hindupur stretch has a number of industries involved in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, automobile and IT.
