MBT Strongly Condemns Alleged Police Obstruction of Eid-ul-Adha Sacrifice in Narsapur:
Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) has strongly condemned the alleged actions of Narsapur Police in Medak District for reportedly preventing Muslims from performing animal sacrifice during Eid-ul-Adha.
Mr. Amjed Ullah Khan, Spokesman of MBT, stated that several Muslims from Narsapur contacted him and informed that police authorities were allegedly not allowing them to sacrifice oxen brought legally for Eid-ul-Adha.
Mr. Khan said the reported actions of police have created fear, anger, and confusion among Muslims in the area, particularly when there is no official ban on transportation or sacrifice of oxen in Telangana State.
MBT strongly condemned what it termed as unnecessary interference by police authorities in religious practices associated with Eid-ul-Adha and stated that such actions hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslim community.
Mr. Amjed Ullah Khan requested Shri Anumula Revanth Reddy, Honโble Chief Minister of Telangana, to immediately intervene in the matter and direct higher police officials to resolve the issue without delay.
Mr. Khan also appealed to Sri C V Anand, IPS, Director General of Police Telangana, to interfere immediately and ensure that Muslims are allowed to peacefully perform Eid-ul-Adha sacrifice in accordance with law.
He further requested Shri Mohammed Azharuddin, Honโble Minister for Minorities Welfare, Government of Telangana, Shri Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Advisor to Honโble Chief Minister Telangana on Minorities Affairs, and Shri Faheem Qureshi, Chairman & Vice President TMREIS, to immediately intervene and protect the constitutional and religious rights of Muslims in Narsapur.
Mr. Khan stated that the Government must issue clear instructions to police authorities across Telangana to ensure that no unnecessary harassment is caused to Muslims during Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
He warned that continued harassment and interference in religious practices would only create mistrust and disturb communal harmony in the State.
Mr. Khan demanded immediate clarification from the Government and police authorities regarding the legal basis under which Muslims are allegedly being prevented from carrying out sacrifice when no ban exists in Telangana.
He appealed to all concerned authorities to act responsibly, maintain communal harmony, and ensure protection of constitutional rights guaranteed to every citizen.
