Today, the Inspector of Police, Women Police Station, Begumpet, along with the staff, interacted with the staff of the **Integrated Centre to Combat S*x Trafficking (ICCST)**.

During the interaction, the ICCST staff explained the various units functioning under ICCST, namely the **Victim Assistance Unit, Demand Reduction Unit, and Transgender Support Unit**. They explained the roles and responsibilities of each unit, the assistance provided to victims of trafficking and other vulnerable persons, and the support mechanisms available for their rehabilitation and protection.

The ICCST staff also explained the **victim assistance and counselling process**, including the manner in which victims are received, counselled, supported, and referred for appropriate services based on their individual needs. The session provided useful information to the WPS staff regarding victim-centred approaches, counselling, rehabilitation, and coordination with concerned support agencies.

The interaction was informative and helpful in enhancing the awareness and capacity of the police staff in effectively dealing with victims of s*x trafficking and other vulnerable persons.
