The objective of present proposition is to introduce the concept of ‘Photonics’ initiated by the Government of Telangana, India which has the potentiality of civilizational transformation. The proposition implies nurturing of an ecosystem to evolve the discourse of Photonics. Photonics presents an alternative paradigm to the present day computing concept of CMOS based silicon chip. It is a game ch

anging concept. Photon facilitates 57 times speed at 172 times reduced levels of power consumption over the existing fundamental practice by mitigating latency. Such progression defies even Moore’s Law and brings in a paradigm shift. The ecosystem can be the place where all processes of the alternative paradigm will be institutionalised and materialised.
