Another sickening incident and a travesty of justice.

We can no longer afford to remain silent. We need to channel our collective resources to stamp out this menace.

Lets join forces to fight against this. We are looking for likeminded individuals from diverse walks of life to render their services whether it be rehabilitation support, legal services, counselling, or raising a voice to influence policy making and justice for victims.

As we form a coalition, we will reach out to you on next steps. Our vision is to create a pan India network of volunteers (with local chapters) who can be called upon to preempt, provide support to those in distress and rehabilitation to the victims (regardless of gender).

The Gauhati High Court said there was no possibility for the accused to tamper with evidence or influence witnesses.

The increasing count of r**e incidences enrages us all (2019 - India recorded an average of 87 r**e cases daily, a 7% YoY increase, and this doesn't include the majority that go unreported) , but what can we collectively do to address this. Set an example of perpetrators, create deterrence, education and sensitization, leverage technology....????

Through social media platforms there is a tremendous opportunity to mobile resources (whether it be financial, legal services, volunteering first responders) in the fight against r**e.

I welcome your thoughts on what can be done in this space and for like minded individuals to come forward and join hands in this fight.
