The Unity Run, 2025 organized by City Police station, Imphal West District, Manipur to commemorate National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), celebrated on 31st October — the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.

Purpose:
The Unity Run symbolizes the nation’s commitment to preserving and strengthening its unity, integrity, and security. It aims to spread awareness about the efforts of Sardar Patel in unifying the princely states and integrating India after independence.

The City Police Station, Imphal West District, was adjudged the 2nd Best Police Station for the year 2025 and was conferred the DGP Manipur Trophy for 2nd Best Police Station on the occasion of the 134th Manipur Police Raising Day on October 19, 2025.

That on 9/7/2025 received a complaint regarding stealing of a clothes sack. The incident was captured in CCTV footage in which a unknown person was seen lifting the clothes. A team of City PS under the supervision of OC City PS have swiftly search and able to recover it. The clothes were handed to the owner after proper formalities.

Today 29th June, 2025, the southern side of Bir Tikendrajit Park, a popular recreation spot for citizens, concerned by the inconvenience caused to park-goers by overgrown grass, a team from the City Police Station undertook a Shramdaan (voluntary labor) initiative. This social service effort is part of the police force's ongoing commitment to community welfare /community policing and demonstrates our dedication beyond our primary law enforcement duties.
The voluntary cleanup has significantly improved the accessibility and aesthetics of the southern section of the park, ensuring it remains a pleasant and usable space for all citizens.

In continuation of the special ILP drive conducted today i.e. 18/12/2024 at different parts of Bazar areas 6 individuals were also detained and produced before the Court of Hon'ble SDM-IW . The Executive Magistrate convicted them with a fine of Rs. 6000/- each ( total amounting to Rs. 36,000/- ) and also an order to deported/ push back them to Mao Gate. Accordingly they were deported outside the state after proper formalities. Regards.

A special ILP drive has been conducted at different parts of Bazar areas from 17/12/2024 and still continuing. In that 3 individuals were detained for not possessing Inner Line permit cards. So they were produced before the Court of Hon'ble SDM-IW . The Executive Magistrate convicted them with a fine of Rs. 6000/- each ( total amounting to Rs. 18,000/- ) and also an order to deported/ push back them to Mao Gate. Accordingly they were deported outside the state after proper formalities. Regards.
