Arunachal Pradesh Innovation & Investment Park (APIIP) successfully conducted an online workshop on “Beyond Borders: A Beginner’s Toolkit and Roadmap for Exporting Innovation from Northeast India to the World” on 24th March 2026. The session aimed to equip startups, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of the export ecosystem, covering key frameworks, market entry strategies, regulatory requirements, and practical tools for taking innovations to global markets.

The workshop was led by Dr. Tania Paul Das, Founder & Consultant at Think Basket Consultech, who shared valuable insights, real-world experiences, and actionable strategies to help participants explore international opportunities and scale their ventures globally. The session witnessed active participation and engagement, reflecting the growing interest among startups in expanding beyond domestic markets.

🚀✨ The momentum continued as **Day 2 of the 3rd Boot Camp for our Cohort 4.0 startups held on 25th Feb 2026 ** brought deep financial insights and practical clarity, strengthening the foundation laid on Day 1.

**Day 2 was led by Mr. Pankaj Periwal, Partner at V. Singhi & Associates**, who delivered a highly impactful session on *Financial Fundamentals and the Basics of GST*. His session went beyond theory diving into financial planning, understanding cost structures, managing revenues wisely, and ensuring GST compliance with confidence.

Through practical examples, real business scenarios, and simplified explanations of financial discipline, he helped our founders understand that strong financial management is not optional it is the backbone of every sustainable startup. His guidance encouraged entrepreneurs to build ventures that are not only innovative but also financially structured, compliant and growth ready.

🚀 The energy was high and the learning even higher as we successfully organized the 3rd Boot Camp for our Cohort 4.0 startups, focused on Building Legal Foundations, IP Protection, Financial Foundations, and the Basics of GST.

**Day 1 set the tone for transformation**, led by Dr. Krantisagar More, an eminent startup mentor known for his impactful work across India. His session was not just informative—it was eye-opening. From decoding the Startup Ecosystem and understanding innovation & value creation to building a strong legal foundation and recognizing the power of Intellectual Property (IP) protection, every discussion pushed our founders to think bigger and build smarter.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. More for igniting clarity, confidence, and strategic thinking among our founders. The journey of building stronger startups has truly begun! 🚀

Startup Arunachal Day 2026

APIIP celebrated Startup Arunachal Day 2026 at the State Banquet Hall, marking 10 years of Startup India and Arunachal Pradesh being recognised as a ‘Best Performer’ in the DPIIT National Startup Ranking.

The event was graced by Hon’ble CM Pema Khandu, Chief Secretary Kaling Tayeng, Sonam Chombay, IRS, Commissioner to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, R.K. Sharma IAS,Commissioner, Manveen Chadha, Chauhan and Jhansi L. Gorla.

Leading institutions participated, including RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY, ITANAGAR, ARUNACHAL PRADESH (RGU), Arunachal University of Studies - AUS Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh University (APU) Pasighat, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology -NERIST, NIT Jote, DNGC Itanagar, Donyi-Polo Govt. College, Kamki, Indira Gandhi Government College Tezu, and Government College Tawang.

Startup founders Chalang Hakhun, Bini Nyickyor, Abraham Ering, Nima Sona, and Doni Riba shared their inspiring journeys, highlighting the growing innovation ecosystem in Arunachal Pradesh.

🏆 Proud Moment for Arunachal Pradesh 🇮🇳

A moment of immense pride for Arunachal Pradesh as our state was awarded Best Performer – Category B under the DPIIT States’ Startup Ranking, received on National Startup Day, 16 January 2026.

This prestigious award was received by Shri R. K. Sharma, IAS, Commissioner (Planning & Investment), along with Shri Tabe Haidar, CEO, APIIP and Km. Tamo Rilla, Research Officer from Shri Sumeet K. Jarangal Director, Startup India, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, in the presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

This achievement would not have been possible without the visionary leadership and unwavering support of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Chowna Mein.

To Celebrate 10 Year of Startup India and Nation Startup Day

APIIP celebrated National Startup Day 2026 with a meaningful and Insightful webinar bringing together ideas, experience, and real stories.
We were honored to have Colonel Lakshya Chauhan speak on Leadership in Uncertainty, sharing powerful lessons from command, crisis, and creation.
The session also featured inspiring journeys from our state startups Shri Nima Sona, Shri Abraham Ering and Smt. Chalang Hakhun who spoke candidly about their entrepreneurial paths and the role APIIP has played in shaping their growth.
The webinar saw active participation from Startups, Higher Education Institutions across Arunachal Pradesh and District Planning Officers, making it a truly engaging and inclusive conversation for the startup ecosystem.
