🌱📚 EduResilience 2026 – Schools Take Action! 🌍🔥

On Sept 1, 2026, over 80 school leaders and teachers gathered in Jairampur for a district‑wide workshop on disaster education and climate resilience.

✨ Key moments: Hands‑on DRR training by Mr. Lobsang, Changlang.School Disaster & Climate Action Plans drafted by participants.Playful learning demos from IISER Pune’s Science Activity Centre.Community insights shared by researchers, NGOs, and health experts.

🌍 Community Awareness Programme on Disaster Management 🌍

The DDMA, Namsai, in collaboration with the 12 Bn NDRF Team, successfully conducted a three-day awareness programme from 26th to 28th August 2026 at Lathao, Chowkham CHAKMA basti-I and Nigroo Charali, Piyong Circles under Namsai District.

👥 The initiative reached approximately 450 participants, including PRI members, Gaon Burahs (GBs), SHG members, youth associations, and villagers.

🚨 The programme featured practical demonstrations on:
- Disaster preparedness
- Search and rescue techniques
- First aid
- Emergency response
- Fire safety
- Safe evacuation procedures

The DDMO and Circle Officer, Namsai also graced the programme held at Piyong–Ningroo Charalia, encouraging community participation and resilience building.

👏 A big thank you to all participants and the dedicated teams for making this initiative impactful and successful!
