𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐢𝐫 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝟑𝟕𝟎?
Let’s take you to 3rd June, 2009 for the answer. Kashmir was once again gripped by protests, curfews, shutdowns, and uncertainty following the Shopian tragedy. Tourism collapsed, businesses suffered, and normal life came to a standstill. For decades, Congress and its allies responded to Kashmir's challenges with indecision, appeasement, and short-term politics. The result was a cycle of unrest, separatism, and lost opportunities for ordinary Kashmiris.
For decades, Kashmir was treated as a political problem to be managed.
However, under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, the Kashmir of today looks very different.
✅ Terror incidents down by nearly 70%
✅ Civilian deaths down by over 80%
✅ Stone-pelting reduced from thousands of cases to zero
✅ Record tourism, with over 2.3 crore visitors
✅ Massive investments in roads, railways, tunnels, and infrastructure
✅ Greater opportunities for youth, entrepreneurs, and local businesses
Today, it is increasingly being viewed as a region to be developed.
