The 6th State-Level Judo Championship 2026โ€“27 held at Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh from 21st to 23rd August 2026, was successfully conducted by the Arunachal Judo Association (AJA) with the support of the Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA).

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from judokas across the state, showcasing remarkable skill, discipline, determination and sportsmanship on the tatami.

The Closing Ceremony was graced by Shri Mukesh Kumar, President, Judo Federation of India, as the Chief Guest, Shri Bani Brata Das, General Secretary, Judo Federation of India, as the Guest of Honour, and Shri Tadar Appa, Director (Sports), Govt. of A.P. as the Special Guest.

Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Honโ€™ble MLA-cum-Advisor to HM (SYA), graced the opening ceremony of the 6th State Level Judo Championship 2026โ€“27 as the Chief Guest, with Shri John Neelam, Chairman, Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA), as the Guest of Honour.

Organised by the Arunachal Judo Association, the championship is being held from 21st to 23rd August 2026 at the College Auditorium, Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar.

The championship is witnessing participation of around 140 participants, including 70 male judokas, 50 female judokas and 20 technical officials from across Arunachal Pradesh.

The event provides a valuable platform for young and talented judokas to showcase their skill, strength, discipline and fighting spirit, while promoting the growth and development of judo across the state.

The Sports Authority of Arunachal extends its best wishes to all participating athletes, coaches, technical officials and organisers for a successful and memorable championship. ๐Ÿฅ‹๐Ÿ’ช

The Director, Sports Authority of Arunachal, Shri Gumnya Karbak, felicitated the medal winners of Arunachal Pradesh for their outstanding performance at the KAI National Sub-Junior, Cadet & Junior Karate Championship 2026, held at Hooghly, West Bengal, from 7th to 9th August 2026.

The Arunachal contingent secured an impressive 21 medals โ€” 8 Gold, 9 Silver and 4 Bronze, bringing pride and glory to the state.

The felicitation programme was also attended by Shri Teli Kahi, Sports Officer, Sports Authority of Arunachal, and Shri Tai Hipik, Secretary General, Arunachal Karate-do Association.

Smt. Bengia Yayang Tadar, Vice Chairperson, Sports Authority of Arunachal, felicitated the Gold Medal winners of the 2nd South Asian Throwball Championship 2026 who represented India with distinction.

The championship was held at Ranchi, Jharkhand, from 17th to 19th June 2026.
