🧵 National Handloom Day is being observed at DK Convention Centre, Itanagar, with Hon’ble CM Shri Pema Khandu, Industries Minister Shri Nyato Dukam, and Advisor Shri Mohesh Chai gracing the event.

The 3-day exhibition (6–8 August 2026) is providing a platform for PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries Tagru Yami and Tarh Senia to showcase traditional attire, handbags, crochet, home décor and other unique handicrafts.

🎬 was inaugurated today at the Mini Auditorium, RGU, by Hon’ble Minister for Commerce & Industries Shri Nyato Dukam, in the presence of Dr. Mohesh Chai, Hon’ble MLA & Advisor to the Hon’ble Minister, Industries, and Hon’ble MLA Shri Laisam Simai.

A two-week residency programme for content creators, is funded under initiative of the Ministry of MSME and jointly organised by the Department of Industries, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Rajiv Gandhi University, and CCRD to nurture creative talent and promote digital storytelling across the State.

Yajit Ebiya, an artisan under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme of the Department of Industries, participated in an AI and Digital Empowerment Training organised with the support of the Department of Youth Affairs on 18 April 2026 at the State Banquet Hall, Itanagar.

The training equipped her with practical knowledge in digital cataloguing and online marketing, enabling her to showcase her handcrafted products to a wider audience.

Leveraging these newly acquired digital skills, Ebiya has successfully listed her handmade crochet pink roses and other creations on Amazon, marking an important step into the world of e-commerce.

Women-led enterprises from Arunachal Pradesh presented a hamper of freshly made bakery items to the Hon’ble Minister of Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Shri Chirag Paswan ji.

The women are undergoing capacity building training under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme facilitated by the Department of Industries at Tezpur University, FET Department.

During the interaction, the Hon’ble Minister engaged with the women entrepreneurs, appreciated their efforts, and conveyed his best wishes for the continued success and growth of their enterprises.

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Jote was virtually inaugurated on 23rd February, 2026 by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pema Khandu during a Mega Event on the National SC–ST Hub organised by NSIC under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Industries, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

The occasion was also graced by Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Shri Nyato Dokum, and Hon’ble Minister for SJETA, Shri Kento Jini, along with other senior dignitaries from the Ministry and State.

The Mega Event witnessed the participation of over 1000+ entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, as well as students from premier institutions across the State, reflecting widespread interest in entrepreneurship development and the promotion of MSMEs.

Smt. Nabam Sangte, PM Vishwakarma beneficiary and Basket Maker from Arunachal Pradesh, shared her first experience of participating in a major national event at Dilli Haat, New Delhi, where she gained exposure to visual merchandising, interacted with customers from different states and international customers , and achieved good sales of her products. She also connected with officials of the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) and visited the institute to learn modern packaging processes. Interaction with artisans from other states enabled mutual learning on business skills and design. Travelling to Delhi for the first time by flight and experiencing a metro city added to the memorable journey. She expressed sincere gratitude to the Industry Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and the Government of India for providing this opportunity through the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
