Jabalpur Engineering College Jabalpur was established in 1947 as Government
Engineering College Jabalpur. It was declared autonomous by the Government of
Madhya Pradesh in the year 1998. The college is approved by the AICTE and the
Government of Madhya Pradesh. Since its inception college has been in the
forefront of imparting high quality technical education and consultancy services to

industries in and around central India. The college has produced a number of
professionals, who are placed in very high positions in India and abroad. The
admission of students to the undergraduate courses is entirely on the basis of
merit through the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) and Pre
Engineering Test (PET) conducted by the state government. Normally, the top
ranking students choose this college for their admission
