The campaign was conducted under the visionary leadership of the Principal, Dr. Karuna, and the guidance of Nodal Officers Prof. Gourav Bareja and Capt. Anil Kumar.
The plantation drive was organised simultaneously at multiple locations, including the college campus, ISKCON Yamuna Nagar, and the Cooperative Society Park near the college. A variety of saplings were planted with the objective of promoting environmental conservation, enhancing green cover, and spreading awareness about the importance of sustainable living.
Addressing the participants, Principal Dr. Karuna emphasized that trees are the foundation of a healthy environment and urged every individual to plant and nurture at least one tree in the name of their mother. She highlighted that such initiatives not only contribute towards ecological balance but also strengthen the emotional bond between individuals and nature.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, faculty members, and students, who collectively pledged to protect nature and contribute actively towards building a sustainable environment. The event concluded with a resolve to nurture the planted saplings and continue organising such environmental initiatives in the future, reaffirming the institution's commitment to ecological sustainability and social responsibility.NSS Cell Kurukshetra UniversityNSS DelhiCMO HaryanaMinistry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of IndiaNSS IndiaNSS HaryanaNSS K*K
