First CIPET campus was established by Government of India in 1968 at Chennai and subsequently 14 CIPET Campuses have been established by Govern

ment of India in the country. Today 15 CIPET Campus- visit our campus (Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Hajipur, Haldia, Jaipur, Imphal, Lucknow, Mysore and Panipat).

5 Specialized Units (ATPDC- Madurai, APPTC-Balasore, PWMC- Guwahati, PWMC- New Delhi, CBPST, Kochi) are contributing through ATR services to the industries in India and Abroad, having uniform infrastructural facilities in the areas of Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Plastics processing, Testing and Quality control. Objectives of CIPET are to offer blend of various specialized Academic programmes in field of Plastics Engineering & Technology (Doctoral, Post Graduate, Undergraduate, Post Graduate Diploma, and Post Diploma) in order to provide qualified Human Resources to Plastics & Allied Industries. The Technology support services (TSS) to the industries and Ingenious Research are one of the important product portfolios of CIPET. CIPET renders Technology consulting services in Design, Tooling, Plastics Processing, and Testing & Quality Assurance in India & Abroad. CIPET has successfully completed about 35 Research & Development projects in different disciplines of Polymer Science, Engineering & Technology, sponsored by various government and non-government funding agencies. Also, CIPET has filed 5 Patents in different areas of product design and on polymer composites, Nano-composites, etc. With strong Alumni base of about 32,000 Professionals, CIPET has emerged as an Apex plastics technology institution, not only in India but a unique institution of its kind in Asia.
