[3/22, 10:15] +91 98682 10775: We should focus on our Strengths and capabilities. Weaknesses are part of all human beings irrespective of caste, Religion, ethnicity, demography, colour or creed.
Each one of us is quite capable and committed. So move forward utilizing our Strengths and capabilities.
Buddhism provide all the answers to the questions of humanity. Some references for reading as Emotional intelligence by Goleman, Transaction analysis by Eric Bern, etc.
In 1999 Prof Seligman and others have profounded the New concept as Positive Psychology - wherein they talks about 24 Strengths, character and virtues - which can be understood in the light of 24 spokes of the Ashoka Samrat.
Buddhism may be the ideology least followed in India and that too until Baba Saheb Dr saheb embraced Buddhism. But there has been ascending graph of Buddhism followers. In particular since 2014 the number of Buddhism followers have increased in manifold thought data is not available - this is my personal understanding so I can't claim its correctness.
Now question about the expansion of Buddhism among Bahujans is very pertinent. I just want to share with you interested that I just visited Sarnath Varanasi and had a 3 hour long Meeting with Ven. Bhadant Chandima ji and raised the same concern of Buddhism expansion.
Some of the suggestion I offered him that if we can make Buddhism directly beneficial to the people then we can achieve this. Suggestions include use of psychotherapies in removing, treating the sufferings, cognitive restructuring, thought changing methods, Stress, depression, anxiety relieving exercises, etc can be used for the betterment of the people - and eventually this way we can expand the buddhism in a pragmatic and realistic way - would have long lasting influence.
Ven. Chandima has accepted and requested me to prepare training manual and train the practitioners.
