Two skill-based training programmes—Fundamentals of Data Annotation Using Python and Fundamentals of Data Curation Using Python—are currently being conducted for the students of CDOE by officers from NIELIT, Jammu, under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two institutions. These programmes are designed to equip students with industry-relevant skills and enhance their employability in data-driven and AI-based sectors. The interactive session formed a part of this ongoing initiative in emerging areas of Artificial Intelligence.

Addressing the students, Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, Director, CDOE, University of Jammu, emphasized the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping future careers and encouraged students to actively participate in such skill-oriented programmes. He stated that the collaboration with NIELIT is a forward-looking initiative aimed at integrating academic learning with practical skill development. Highlighting the growing impact of AI across sectors, he stressed the need for students to equip themselves with in-demand skills. He further reiterated that CDOE remains committed to offering quality-driven, skill-oriented programmes and will continue organizing such initiatives to enhance students’ career prospects and preparedness for emerging job markets.

Dr. Rajnish Raina, Officer In-charge, NIELIT Jammu, encouraged students to take the programme seriously, noting that such skills would significantly enhance their employability. He elaborated on the various components of the training programmes being offered to distance learners of the University.

During the session, Ms. Sarita Kaur, Joint Director (Technical), apprised students of the wide-ranging applications of Artificial Intelligence and its growing relevance across industries. The interaction fostered a motivating environment, encouraging students to explore opportunities in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

Dr. Parshotam Paul Singh, Assistant Professor, CDOE, University of Jammu, and Nodal Officer, Skill Training Programme (AI), CDOE–NIELIT Jammu, also interacted with the students.
