Govt. MAM College Excels at District-Level Events Commemorating 80th Independence Day

Govt. MAM College, a Constituent College of Cluster University of Jammu, has brought laurels to the institution through its remarkable performance at the district-level events organised to commemorate the 80th Independence Day.The students of the college participated enthusiastically in various competitions, including Solo and Group National Anthem Singing, Painting and Essay Writing, and showcased their exceptional talent and patriotic spirit. Rumit Sharma emerged as the First Position holder in the Solo National Anthem Singing Competition. With this achievement, he has earned the distinction of representing the district at the Divisional Level in the Solo National Anthem Singing Competition. The college also secured Third Position in the Group National Anthem Singing Competition.

In the Painting Competition, Madhav Sauntra secured Second Position, displaying his artistic creativity and talent. Ashok Kumar added another achievement to the college’s tally by securing third position in the essay competition.Principal Prof. Sanjay Kumar and faculty members congratulated all the winners and participants.

As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Abhiyan under the 100 Days Campaign, M.A.M. College, Jammu, under the visionary leadership and guidance of Principal Dr. S.K. Verma, organized a pledge ceremony on 6th June 2026 to spread awareness about the importance of a healthy, disciplined, and addiction-free lifestyle among students. The programme also highlighted the significance of physical and mental well-being in shaping a responsible society.

The pledge was administered at the conclusion of the Common Entrance Test for GNM Lateral Entry Course–2026. The event was organized by the NCORD/NMBA Committee of the college as part of the 100 Days Campaign. Around 154 students who appeared in the examination participated enthusiastically in the ceremony, along with faculty members, invigilators, and examination staff.

During the programme, all participants collectively resolved to contribute towards the creation of a healthy, aware, and drug-free society. The event effectively communicated the message of wellness, self-discipline, mental health awareness, and the need to adopt a healthy and addiction-free way of life in line with the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Jammu Abhiyan.
