Tulip Garden witnesses huge rush, 17.2k Tourists visit Garden on inaugural day
SRINAGAR, MARCH 26: On the inaugural day, the Asia's largest Tulip Garden In Srinagar Wednesday witnessed an overwhelming response from local, national as well as high-end tourists.

Following its opening today, the garden witnessed unprecedented footfall of 17,259 visitors, setting a new benchmark in its history.

In an official statement, the Department of Floriculture, Gardens & Parks has extended its gratitude to the general public especially national & international visitors for their overwhelming response to the grand opening of Tulip Garden.

The department has also acknowledged the cooperation of the Divisional/ District administration, J&K Police, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, PWD, KPDCL and other allied agencies for their seamless coordination in ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for visitors. Their dedicated efforts in maintaining security, cleanliness, and essential services have greatly contributed to the success of this event, a statement from the Department said.

A special note of admiration has been extended to the dedicated gardeners, field staff, and officers of the Floriculture Department, whose tireless efforts, meticulous planning, and unwavering commitment have resulted in a breath-taking floral spectacle. With more than 1.70 million tulips in full bloom, the garden stands as a testament to their hard work and passion for excellence.

The Department of Floriculture remains committed to enhancing the beauty and vibrancy of this iconic garden and welcomes visitors to witness nature’s unparalleled grandeur in the days ahead, the statement added.

DIPR Jammu conducts cleanliness drive as part of Swachhata Pakhwada
JAMMU, AUGUST 5: In a spirited display of civic responsibility and community engagement, the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Jammu spearheaded a vigorous cleanliness drive today as part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada and 'Suchita Sangram' campaign. This initiative, conducted under the guidance of Joint Director Information, Atul Gupta, aimed to commemorate Independence Day while promoting a clean and hygienic environment.
The event, held at the DIPR Media Complex Jammu, witnessed enthusiastic participation of Officers and Officials including Deputy Director (PR) Jammu, Ankush Hans, Deputy Director (HQ), Virender Gupta, Field Publicity Officer, Mukesh Sharma, Cultural Officer, Nasir Khan, Youth Information Officer, Monika Sambyal, along with other Officers and staff members
Joining hands in support were representatives from the Jammu Municipal Corporation, led by Joint Commissioner Abdul Satar, underscoring the collaborative effort towards cleanliness.

in collaboration with District Election Office organized Awareness Rally
GCW Parade, Jammu. The rally was led by Mr. Sachin Kumar Vaishey,
District Election Returning Officer, 5- Jammu Parliamentary constituency.
The faculty members along with hundred students of the college
participated in the rally which began from the main gate of the college
and culminated atthe Panjthirthi chowk. The students of the College
raised electoral literacy related slogans like “chabbee ki kutheyjanaaei,vote
pan janaaei”, ”Jan jan ne thana hai vote deney jana hai”, ”Gaon
gaon gali gali chunav ki laher chali”. The main objective of the awareness rally
was to encourage the general public to vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha
Elections in large numbers and to motivate the young voters to participate
in the electoralprocess without any hesitation, to ensure maximum voter
turnout and to help in strengthening the core values of Indian democracy.
The DC Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishey was accompanied by ADDC
Thakur Sher Singh ADDC and Nodal Officer SVEEP Jammu Dr. Vikas
Sharma and other team members. Later The DC Jammu addressed the
large gathering of students and staff from various departments within the
college premises in which he deliberated on the importance of every
single vote after which popular Punjabi singer Sangram Hanjra
performed for the audiences which was thoroughly enjoyed by the
students of the college. Later the Natrang theater group under the
leadership of Shri Balwant Thakur performed a play titled Lok Ta**ra Ka
Asli Mantra. The audience were mesmerized by the live performance of the artist. The play was successful in conveying the message of
importance of right to vote.
The volunteers of the Electoral Literacy Club, NSS and NCC unit of the
college showed great enthusiasm and shared the important information’s
like toll free numbers, My Gov app etc. issued by the Election Commission
of India related to the election on 26th April in Jammu constituency with
the first-time voters and other students of the College.

BBFS Residential Academy is set to organize trials in JAMMU.

Jammu, 7 Apr, 2024: Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools (BBFS), powered by enJogo, will conduct trials for its residential academy program in the Parade Ground, Jammu on 14th April 2024.

After completing India’s largest trials initiative in 2022-23, BBFS Residential Academy is launching the second season in Jammu. In the first edition, 18,500+ football players aged between 9-23 registered for the trials from 120+ Indian cities.

Players born between 1st January 2007 to 31st December 2014 are eligible to participate in the trials. The reporting time is 9:00 IST. Footballers must carry their kits and a valid Government ID. A registration fee of INR 100/- is applicable for all attendees.

With the motto of 'Building Future Champions', the upcoming edition of the BBFS Residential Academy trials will once again cover all parts of the country. Select BBFS scouts will travel to different cities and engage a larger pool of talents.

Bhaichung Bhutia, Co-founder of BBFS and football legend, weighed in on the significance of the initiative, stating, "For young players to get the right opportunities and become professional footballers, they must enter a well-structured sporting curriculum from an early age. BBFS Residential Academy trials are a great opportunity for talented players to join our program and train to achieve their best potential"

The trials have become a vital stepping stone for young players who aspire to pursue a football career. It not only gives them a platform to evaluate their prowess in the game but also a chance to join the country's largest and most-rated football program.

BBFS Residential Academy is a unique boarding school program that offers an ideal blend of football excellence and academic development. The student-athletes at BBFS Residential Academy reside on state-of-the-art campuses, where they immerse themselves in a 24x7 footballing environment. JAMMU, DEC 18: DernierCri successfully concluded auditions for Mr., Miss & Mrs. J&K at Flim City Jammu.

Around 50 youth including boys and girls participated with enthusiasm in Mr, Miss and Mrs J&K 2024.
While addressing media on the occasion, Devrishi Krishan Sharma, Founder & Director of DernierCri said," the main objective of the audition was to provide platform to the young talented Youth of Jammu Kashmir at their home place Jammu Kashmir UT."
Devrishi Krishan Sharma was also a jury on the occasion. He further stated, “Whatever we have learned, we want to pay back to the society and next auditions will be on 24th Dec 2023 at Udhampur,”Sharma added.
