A LEA Coordination Meeting under the chairmanship of DDG (Security), J&K LSA was convened on 23.07.2026.

​Key discussions focused on telecom security issues in J&K UT and aligning LEA requirements with the technical compatibility of Service Providers.

​Reps from IB, NIA, DRI, Army SI, J&K Police (CID, SOG, ANTF & PHQ), TSPs, PowerTel, RailTel, and TCL participated in the meeting.

Under the able guidance of Addl. DG(T), J&K LSA conducted QoS Drive Test and ICR testing in coordination with all Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) along the Baltal Route to assess network performance and ensure seamless telecom connectivity for pilgrims.

Officers and Staff of the Office of Addl. DGT, J&K LSA, Office of CCA J&K and HUDCO participated in the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 celebrations at HUDCO Bhawan, Jammu.

Senior officers of J&K LSA attended the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Estimates at Pahalgam on 28.04.2026. Discussions were held on issues relating to mobile connectivity in hilly areas, with focus on strengthening telecom infrastructure, improving network quality, expanding coverage in remote regions, and ensuring reliable digital connectivity for citizens. Senior officers from DoT HQ, DBN and BSNL also participated in the meeting.

DoT remains committed to strengthening telecom services and ensuring seamless digital connectivity in remote, hilly and underserved areas across the country.

J&K LSA has done the 5G MRO testing of 04 sites at Baramulla , Sopore and Srinagar town of kashmir region on 15th&16th April 2026 with Airtel network team. M/s Airtel has offered 80 sites for MRO service testing in 5G Phase-II in accordance with the Test Schedule and Test Procedures (TSTP) for Rollout Obligation testing in the 26 GHz bands. 04 Sites at Jammu District has already been done in March 2026.

Under the able leadership of the Addl. DGT, J&K LSA, and at the request of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) of J&K, the J&K LSA, in coordination with C-DOT Delhi, conducted a two-days in-house training session on the Internet Monitoring System (IMS) on 7–8 April 2026 for all Law Enforcement Agencies of J&K. Additionally, an interactive session on the Telecom Security Operation Centre (TSOC) project was held during the training period. The sessions were attended by officers from various LEAs, including J&K Police, CID, Army SI, IB, and CBI.

Under the guidance of Addl. DG, J&K LSA, a visit/workshop for students of GCET Jammu, YCET Jammu & MBS College was conducted at the 5G Use Case Lab at IIT Jammu, established by DoT, providing hands-on exposure to 5G use cases in the lab environment. The initiative promotes awareness and understanding of 5G technologies among students.
