*Teachers' Day Celebration at Jigar Foundation*

Today, Teachers' Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm at Jigar Foundation.

The children participated actively and made the evening special with their wonderful performances - dance, songs, and poems.

Fun games were also organized for the teachers. Visakha Ma'am won one game and Sandhya Ma'am won another, which added a lot of excitement and laughter.

The highlight of the evening was a wonderful Punjabi dance performed by Rekha Ma'am and a beautiful melodious song sung by Bharti Ma'am.

It was truly a wonderful and memorable evening filled with love, respect and celebration.

JAMMU, Aug 31: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today attended the '1st Community Cash Award Function' organized by the Saraswathi Educational, Cultural Charitable Trust in association with Helpline Humanity, here at Abhinav Theatre.

The Divisional Commissioner was the chief guest, while the former Director General of Police Dr. Ashok Bhan attended the function as the special Guest and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), Arvind Karwani as the guest of honour.

- He highlighted the rich historical and cultural legacy of Kashmir, describing it as a land of knowledge, intellectual excellence, art and culture.
- He said members of the Kashmiri community have made their mark in diverse fields across the country and the world.
- He acknowledged the difficult circumstances faced by the Kashmiri community following the events of the 1990s, stating that despite being displaced from their homeland, members continued to excel and made significant contributions in India and abroad.

Later, the chief guest presented cash awards to distinguished Kashmiri Pandit personalities:
- *Ravi Garyali Cash Award:* Dr. Agni Shekhar and Vikram Koul
- *Indra Garyali Cash Award:* Sandhya Dhar and Dr. Adividvadani Kaul
- *Ravi Misri Cash Award:* Pandit (Dr.) Abhay Rustum Sopori and Ankur Bagati

The programme was organized to recognize individuals who have made significant achievements in their respective fields. It also featured cultural performances by students and cultural groups.

SEBI Investor Awareness Program Organized by Jigar Foundation at Gangyal, Jammu*

Jammu, 27th August 2026: An Investor Awareness Program was organized by Jigar Foundation, Jammu & Kashmir in collaboration with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and CDSL at Dogra Sambhal Trust, near Ram Leela Ground, Gangyal, Jammu today from 4 PM to 6 PM.

The program was graced by Sh. Rahul Kelapure, Deputy General Manager, SEBI as the key resource person. He educated the participants about safe investment practices, investor rights, protection against financial frauds and importance of investing through SEBI regulated channels.

On this occasion, the guests were warmly honoured by the Coordinator of Jigar Foundation, *Ms. Veeshaka*.

The organizers expressed their heartfelt thanks to *Mr. Baldev Singh* for providing the hall at Dogra Sambhal Trust for conducting the seminar and extending full cooperation.

A large number of local residents, youth and volunteers of the foundation actively participated in the seminar. Volunteers also took active part and presented songs, which made the program more lively and engaging.

The seminar was smoothly concluded by *Miss Sandhya* with a vote of thanks to all the guests, participants and volunteers.

*President Droupadi Murmu Hosts 'At Home' Reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 79th Independence Day*

*New Delhi, 15th August 2026*: The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, hosted the traditional *'At Home' reception* at Rashtrapati Bhavan today on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day.

During the interaction with guests, the President met *Ms. Sandhya Dhar*, an Indian disability rights activist and Founder of the *Jiger Institute of Jammu*.
