Today its wonderful sighting of Indian spot billed Ducks at the edge of Jammu Old City Tawi River( City of Temple). Its good sign that this Tawi River portion falling through the Jammu city is emerging into wonderful wetland in the coming days, . Its seems that with the completion of Artificial Lake, conductive environment for migratory birds would also be emerged.Food chain is there for birds. I want to remind that in the year 2018 some Indian Spot billed ducks had been spotted and photographed by me at the Tawi river site just close to 4th Bridge, Bhagwati Nagar. . and at same location about 12 years ago when work of artificial lake Just started , and same time plenty of water got stagnated at side of the of the river which attracted huge migratory birds there. Big flocks of Red shank, nd green shank migratory Birds had thronged there to pass winter.
