JK Future Foundation Hosts Transit Langer for 6,000 Kheer Bhawani Yatris at Nagrota
JAMMU: The JK Future Foundation successfully organized a massive transit Langer (breakfast distribution) at the Nagrota Toll Post to welcome and serve thousands of pilgrims embarking on the holy Mela Kheer Bhawani Yatra. This grand initiative was jointly organized alongside the dedicated team of Radha Krishna Mandir, Lane 20, Jagti, Nagrota.
The morning service provided a fresh, hygienic breakfast, mineral water, tea, and traditional Kashmiri Noon Chai to an estimated 5,000 to 6,000 Yatris. To ensure seamless ex*****on for the moving convoys, volunteers and foundation members worked tirelessly through the night.
The management of the JK Future Foundation—a registered trust operating out of the Jagti Kashmiri Migrant Colony—shared that despite severe financial constraints, the initiative was made possible through sheer devotion, local donors, and selfless volunteers.
As the Yatra flagged off, members of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community expressed a deep, emotional longing to return to their roots after 36 years in exile. Reflecting on recent positive assurances from the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor regarding resettlement, the organizers stated, "We pray that by the divine Kripa of Mata Rani, this is our last year serving in transit. May next year find all displaced Kashmiri Pandits permanently and peacefully resettled back in our true homes across the Valley."
