History
In the year 2003 some boys of teenagers were united to start an annualcultural programme “Oikatan”.Some senior most benevolent persons were associated with them as advisor. Every year the programme was organised by collecting subscription from the local people. This team was always ready to serve for the people of their locality. Then a coaching centre had been functioning since 2008 for the classes of Higher Secondary Modern Computer Application. Thereafter in the year 2010 ‘Society Engaged with Voluntary Activities in Jhargram’ (S.E.V.A. Jhargram) was registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act - XXVI, 1961 vide Registration No. – S/1L/68849 of 2009-10. An unit under this Society had been with various educational services and vocational training courses mainly on Computer Literacy Programme, Information technology Application, Health, Sports & Cultural activities among the aspirant masses. Afterwards, crash courses like - Spoken English, Personal Development Programme & Skill development Courses like Beautician, Make Up, Tailoring, Security Guard, Driving, Video & Photography, and Hotel & Hospitality Management etc. were introduced under its banner. Thus Society Engaged with Voluntary Activities Voluntary Activities (SEVA) in Jhargram, Jhargram, has already achieved the milestone of the last eight glorious years. Professionals having practical work experience in different Organisations like –Education, Social Welfare, Judicial, Labour, Health, Panchayet & Rural Dev, Banking Sector and Corporate sector.
