ગીર રાષ્ટ્રીય ઉદ્યાન
વન્ય પ્રાણીઓથી સમૃદ્ધ ગીર રાષ્ટ્રીય ઉદ્યાન ગિરનાર જંગલની નજીક આવેલું છે. આ રાષ્ટ્રીય ઉદ્યાન આરક્ષિત વન છે અને એશિયાઇ સિંહો માટે એકમાત્ર ઘર છે. આ વન્ય અભયારણ્યમાં મોટી સંખ્યામાં પુષ્પ અને જીવજંતુઓની પ્રજાતિ મળે છે. અહીં સ્તનધારીઓની 30 પ્રજાતિઓ, સરીસૃપ વગ્રની 20 પ્રજાતિઓ અને કીડા મકોડાઓની તથા કીડા-મકોડા તથા પક્ષીઓની પણ ઘણી બધી પ્રજાતિઓ જોવા મળે છે. અહીં હરણ, સાબર, ચીતલ, નીલગાય, ચિંકારા, બારહસિંગા, રીંછ અને લંગૂર પણ જોઇ શકાય છે.
