Kadapa Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. P. Bhavani Prasad today conducted a surprise inspection of the Dog Sterilization Centre under the jurisdiction of Kadapa Municipal Corporation.
During the inspection, the Commissioner examined the records maintained at the centre and reviewed the details of the surgeries and the number of dog sterilizations carried out. He enquired with the officials about the total number of sterilizations conducted so far, maintenance of records, and other related aspects.
The Commissioner also reviewed the sterilization process and the measures being taken for the control of stray dogs with the officials of the Malaria Department and concerned staff.
The Commissioner directed the officials to ensure that the dog sterilization process is carried out systematically and strictly in accordance with the prescribed rules and guidelines. He instructed them to properly record all details related to each sterilization procedure and maintain the records accurately.
He further issued key directions to take effective measures for the control of stray dogs in the city and to ensure proper implementation and monitoring of the sterilization programme.
