The Village-Level Child Protection Committee (VLCPC) Reformation & Awareness Programme was successfully conducted by the District Child Protection Unit & District Child Helpline, Unakoti Tripura at Noorpur Gram Panchayat Office.

This programme aimed to strengthen the capacity of VLCPC members in protecting the rights of children and ensuring their safety and well-being at the grassroots level.

✨ Highlights of the Session:
✅ Identifying & supporting vulnerable children
✅ Preventing child trafficking, labour, marriage, abuse & substance abuse
✅ Ensuring access to education, nutrition & healthcare
✅ Promoting a safe, inclusive & nurturing environment for every child

The event saw active participation from VLCPC Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson & Members, Panchayat leaders, ASHA & Anganwadi workers, School teachers & students, Local Police, PRI representatives, and community members.

🌟 Block Level Child Protection Committee Reformation – Gournagar R.D Block 🌟

Today, the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and Child Helpline 1098, Unakoti, in collaboration with the District Inspector of Social Education, successfully organized the Reformation of the Block Level Child Protection Committee at Gournagar R.D Block.

The program was graced by the presence of Chief Guest – District Inspector of Social Education, along with the District Child Protection Officer, District Labour Inspector, Vice-Chairman of Gournagar R.D Block, BDO & Additional BDO of Gournagar R.D Block, President of Pusparaj Club, and the valuable participation of all Panchayat Pradhans and Office Incharges under Gournagar R.D Block.

During the session, in-depth discussions were held on child protection-related concerns such as Child Marriage, Child Labour, Child Rights & Welfare Issues, and the rising problem of Drug Abuse among children and youth. The program highlighted the importance of community participation, awareness, and joint responsibility in ensuring the protection and safety of every child.

📢 Upcoming Initiative: We will now move forward with the Village Level Child Protection Committee Reformation under Gournagar R.D Block, where these critical child protection issues will again be discussed in detail with local leaders and stakeholders, to strengthen the child protection mechanism at the grassroots level.
