In preparation for the renovation of the Vice-Chancellor's Secretariat, the VC's office has been seamlessly shifted to a temporary location within the same building and floor. A sacred pooja ceremony marked the occasion today, graced by the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. P. Prakash Babu and statutory officers of Pondicherry University.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. P. Prakash Babu, appreciated Prof. B. Charumathi, Department of Management Studies for receiving the prestigious SDG Visionary Women Award 2026 in the category National Inclusive Impact Leader. The award recognizes her significant research leadership and contributions toward advancing inclusive development aligned with the United Nations SDGs. The Vice-Chancellor congratulated her for bringing pride and recognition to Pondicherry University through her impactful academic and research initiatives.

Prof. B. Charumathi from the Department of Management Studies at Pondicherry University has received the SDG Visionary Women Award 2026. She won in the "National Inclusive Impact Leader" category.

The award was given by KSR College of Engineering and IEEE Women in Engineering SBAG during International Women’s Day events on March 7, 2026.

Prof. Charumathi earned this honor for her work on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her research covers ESG governance, climate disclosure, gender diversity in leadership, and the Corporate Social Justice Disclosure Index (CSJDI). She also leads entrepreneurship programs as Director of ACIC–PUSH and Coordinator of the Pondicherry University Startup Club.

Pondicherry University and Zoho Corporation signed a strategic MoU in the august presence of Hon'ble Home Minister Shri A. Namassivayam, Vice-Chancellor Prof. P. Prakash Babu, and Dr. Sridhar Vembu, Chief Scientist, Zoho Corp. Pvt. Ltd. Kalapet MLA Thiru P.M.L. Kalyanasundaram graced the event.
