Animal studies can provide important preliminary evidence on safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and biological responses before a promising formulation or therapy progresses toward human studies.

Animal research must be conducted only when scientifically justified, with efforts to Replace, Reduce, and Refine (3Rs) animal use. Experiments should follow applicable CPCSEA guidelines and institutional ethical approvals, with animal welfare treated as a fundamental responsibility.
