UMANG MELA is a simplified version of Happy Streets with the motive of brining back the memories of Street Games of 70s and 80s for our smartphone and iPad generation. We believe that the new technology although very efficient but taking away the strong learnings of teamwork and fun of doing things together. There will be Music for the additional fun, some chair for the senior citizens and lots of Masti.
Request you to bring your own water bottles, hula hoop, skates, cycle, skipping rope or yoga mats depending upon your interest.
Kindly note that the intent is to have the street group activities, so we welcome and encourage if you or your child is keen to lead some group activities other than the above.

We intent to keep the above as a very low cost affair, so kindly contribute only Rs 100/- per family, voluntarily, to support the rental cost of few chairs, tables and music. Kindly pay your contribution to Mr. Ramesh@Jai Ganesh grocery store (Shah Arcade) and make an entry of your name in the available payment register.

We are also looking for the volunteers, so kindly message back if you are available for 2/3 hrs this week for some basic preparation and event management.

Minutes of Monthly Meeting held on 12/July/2015 at Sai Sakshaat. ...

Friends, as truly said – If serving is below you, leadership is beyond you – in other words we all are going in the right direction of serving the sector and becoming the leader, although without any title as of now. In the below mentioned minutes, we have tried to pick few important and executable points for the forum to focus upon. The meeting was well attended by 30 active people, at Sai Saakshaat on 12/07/2015. Needless to say that there is a growing momentum & desire to do the good work for the sector.

Few highly discussed topics are-

Parking issue at Sec 6 turnings:
1. Its been decided that forum will put its efforts to make T junctions as parking free zone.
2. Forum will approach CIDCO for "broadening" the turning & Traffic Police to place "No Parking" boards at both the T Junctions.
3. Residents will request nearby societies to educate their resident car owners to avoid parking at few highly risky spots.
4. Forum also suggests to use the open space near Taxi Stand & in front of shops, for parking of nearby society vehicles.

Signature Campaign for Municipal Corporation:
5. CIDCO is fundamentally a designing & developing authority, but proving very weak in management of the created facilities due to no public representation like corporator, mayor etc.
6. Kharghar, Kalamboli & Kamothe are already having population more than 5 Lakhs, thus justifies our request to create a municipal corporation for the better management of the provided facilities.
7. For the same, forum has decided to run a signature campaign in each of the societies. Request everyone to support the campaign by signing off on a per flat basis, (one flat one signature). We have circulated the signature forms to the members present, and someone will come to your house shortly for the signatures.

Afforestation & water management at Sec-6 Hill:
8. Forest deptt has principally agreed for the plantation support on the hillside.
9. If everything goes well, then we may commence the plantation from 15th Aug onwards.
10. We would need to create few check dams & water pits on the hill, during the same time.

Stray Dogs/Animals:
11. Stray dog menance is increasing & posing serious threat specially at the densely populated section of sector 6.
12. Forum will write to CIDCO for the help. Draft letter is ready & will approach each society to print the same on their respective letter heads.
13. Forum will wait for 2 months, with follow ups in between. In case of no action, will approach the private agency for the vaccination & Sterilization, at cost, so that further breeding can be prevented.

Street Lights:
14. Forum has decided to aggressively pursue the facility of CIDCO electric deptt and available complaint register, as & when we need the repair of any electric pole.
15. With the strong follow up, we are expecting the change in the quality of their response.
16. Kindly don’t forget to note the name & number of the contractor who is assigned to your complaint handling, for follow up.

Road near the Hill & behind the societies:
17. It was decided that we need to reclaim the beautiful road soon, which has been encroached by construction workers recently.
18. This road provides a good walking & cycling stretch, free from pollution to the sector residents.
19. Forum will start taking rounds and push for the quick resolution.

To improve the engagements & feeling of Oneness, its also been decided that sector will have a joint flag hosting on 15th Aug at Citizen park, around 8 am. We are also thinking seriously on arranging a cultural day of Sector 6, will seek your suggestions and guidance on the same. Its also been decided to spend sometime every Sunday for removal of illegal hoardings. Its an exciting time locally & globally.. we are making positive changes & impacting our surrounding. Kindly freeflow your suggestions and guidance to make things happen fast.

Sending the waste management minutes separately as that topic requires a dedicated section in the meeting minutes.

Planning, Survey n Measurement work by Members of for deployment of benches at Pride Corner of Sector 6
Date - 31 May 2015

For info of all, positioning of 4 benches has been planned in the form of a curve, parallel to the curve of the nala, abt 7ft from the edge of the level surface towards nala, benches facing the road, 5ft benches with 10ft gap between each. Minor adjustments on the day of installation - 4 June 2015 Thursday 10:30 AM.
Considerations - more space forward, restrict misuse by workers, maximum visibility of the area, safe distance from nala, beautiful natural curve, etc.
