BPCL is proud to announce that it has been conferred with the prestigious “Business House with Highest Cargo in 2025–26” award by the Cochin Port Authority during the 98th Port Day celebrations held on 26 May 2026 in Kochi. The award was presented by Chairperson, Cochin Port Authority, Shri B. Kasiviswanathan, IRSME, and received on behalf of BPCL Kochi Refinery by Shri Vinod P.L., General Manager (Oil Movements & Storage), Shri Vinu Narayanan, Deputy General Manager (OM&S), and Shri Michael Solomon, Chief Manager (OM&S).

Adding another milestone to its journey of excellence, BPCL Kochi Refinery contributed an outstanding 22.70 MMT out of the total 38 MMT cargo handled by the Port Authority in FY 2025–26, accounting for nearly 60% of the overall cargo throughput. This remarkable achievement reflects the refinery’s pivotal role in powering efficient port operations and strengthening the nation’s energy logistics network.

This honour is a proud recognition of BPCL’s relentless commitment to operational excellence, seamless supply chain management, and nation-building through robust energy infrastructure. It also celebrates the dedication and teamwork of every individual who continues to drive BPCL forward with passion and purpose.

BPCL extends a warm welcome to Shri Ved Prakash Verma, ITS, who has taken over additional charge as Chief Vigilance Officer, BPCL, while serving as Chief Vigilance Officer, HPCL.

A 1995 batch Indian Telecom Service (ITS) officer, Shri Ved Prakash Verma, brings with him extensive administrative, governance, and vigilance-related experience across diverse public sector and government assignments. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has held several key leadership positions, contributing significantly to institutional strengthening, operational oversight, and public administration.

With his rich experience and leadership, BPCL looks forward to further strengthening its continued focus on transparency, integrity, ethical practices, and organisational excellence. We extend our best wishes to Shri Ved Prakash Verma as he takes on this important responsibility.

BPCL is pleased to announce that Shri Pushp Kumar Nayar has taken over as Director (Human Resources) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.

With over 35 years of diverse experience across Retail, Lubricants, and Human Resource Development, Shri Nayar brings deep expertise in business operations, people leadership, and organisational transformation. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has held several strategic leadership roles across business verticals and geographies, including a deputation assignment with Indraprastha Gas Limited.

Prior to assuming this role, Shri Nayar served as Executive Director (HRD), BPCL, where he played a key role in advancing leadership development, employee engagement, talent management, and HR transformation initiatives aligned with BPCL’s future-ready growth aspirations. His contributions have helped foster a progressive, performance-driven culture while strengthening organisational capability and effectiveness.

Widely recognised for his balanced leadership approach, operational depth, and strong people focus, Shri Nayar has consistently contributed towards enhancing business performance, strengthening partnerships, and building high-performing teams across the organisation.
