Today, the Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), Nagaland, Shri. Sandeep M. Tamgadge,IPS, distributed a total reward amount of approximately ₹99,000 to police officers and personnel who played a commendable role in the successful detection and seizure of approximately 1 kilogram of he**in in two separate cases registered under the NDPS Act.

The reward has been sanctioned in recognition of the officers' dedication, professionalism, and relentless efforts in detecting drug trafficking activities and bringing offenders to justice. Such recognition serves as an encouragement to all police personnel to continue their determined fight against the illegal drug trade. Nagaland Police reiterates its unwavering commitment to the Government's mission of creating a drug-free society and urges the public to continue extending their cooperation by sharing credible information relating to drug trafficking and substance abuse. Collective efforts of law enforcement agencies and citizens remain vital in successfully combating the drug menace.

Nagaland Police is organizing a 5KM Awareness Run on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26th June 2026 (Friday). The event aims to create public awareness against drug abuse, encourage healthy lifestyles, and promote a collective commitment towards building a drug-free Nagaland.
