Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Programme at NILD, Kolkata
The Department of Rehabilitation Nursing, National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD), Kolkata, is organizing a Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Programme on "Enhancing Quality of Life through Holistic Care Pathway in Limb Amputation – A Patient-Centered Approach" on 6th–7th August, 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD, in the presence of Mr. Sougato Banerjee, Deputy Director (Administration), Dr. Ameed Equebal, Assistant Director (Training), Mrs. Sujata Mitra, Professor, College of Nursing, Medical College Hospital & WBNC Observer, Mrs. Jayanti Roy, Principal Nursing Officer, Kalyani NTS & WBNC Observer, and Ms. Sayantani Bhattacharyya, Sister Grade I (II).
The welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Subhra Srimani, Head, Department of Rehabilitation Nursing (Academic).
The two-day programme features eminent resource persons, including Dr. Rishov Hazra, Prof. (Retd.) Mitali Adhikari, Prof. Dr. Jharna Ghosh, Dr. Arka Dey, Mrs. Abanti Gopan, along with rehabilitation and nursing faculty members of NILD.
The CNE aims to enhance the knowledge and clinical competencies of nursing students and professionals by providing updated evidence-based practices and a holistic, patient-centered approach to the rehabilitation and care of persons with limb amputation, ultimately contributing to improved quality of life and better rehabilitation outcomes.
