Championing sustainable practices and protecting as vital ecosystems for future generations, Birla Industrial &Technological Museum, Kolkata, a Unit of National Council of Science Museums-NCSM, Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Mother Earth Foundation commemorated the UNESCO International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem - on July 26, 2026.

Featuring deep dives into the incredible Sundarbans ecosystem to interactive discussions on conservation by Prof. Dr. Swati Nandi Chakraborty, this World Mangrove Day commemoration brought together nature enthusiasts who joined in to discuss the critical importance of mangrove ecosystems.
