Hon'ble Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw travelled on the Kolkata Metro from Jay Hind Bimanbandar to Noapara & interacted with passengers and Media Personnel today. During his visit, he announced the induction of around 60 new-generation Metro trains into the Kolkata Metro network over the next 4–5 years. He also highlighted that the ongoing Metro expansion projects will significantly improve connectivity and commuter convenience across Kolkata, reinforcing the city's journey towards a modern and sustainable public transport system.
